The Nature of Open

This Ted talk by Don Tapscott on the fundamental attributes of Openness is illuminating:

The crux of the problem is also covered in the lecture. Note how much his GoldCorp neighbour paid for $3Billion worth of information. Its just about the same total compensation Bill Gates paid for DOS from Seattle Computing way back when. The fundamental problem is contrary to Open Tenet 3: Sharing, – not all share even close to fairly or equitably.
