RAIA=RIA++
This blog is instituting a new category, RAIA=RIA++, which means that RAIA goes well beyond simple RIA . RAIA=RIA++ will track all the latest doings in the world of RAIA – Rich Anywhere Interactive Applications. RAIA eliminates the confusion around RIA. Some vendors like Curl and Microsoft with Silverlight are saying that delivery on some browsers and offline operations on some OS platforms are good enough – oh and in case of Microsoft, the ability to run SilverLight best only works on Windows OS.
Other vendors like ICEFaces are saying the ability to deliver Mashups and RIA on any browser on any OS platform with rich media but without offline operations are good enough for RIA. And still others are saying that delivery to desktops is all that is required. the new category will explore these notions and the vendors that are coming closest to delivering full RAIA.
