Clearly Microsoft currently continues to have major security problems. Now I cannot speak to the speed of the Edge browser but here are some hints on speed – Edge, since converting to the Google Chromium engine, now ranks 4th to 5th in browser speed reports as in this review. Likewise, in the case of privacy it is best to read the Computerworld report of the ten steps you should take immediately to improve your privacy as a Windows 10 and Edge user. However, in the case of supporting Internet standards, caniuse.com reports that Chrome, Edge, and Opera are tops with Firefox, and then Apple Safari trailing behind in supporting current Internet standards & initiatives. Maybe this is a positive result of Edge using Google’s Chromium like Opera and Brave.
