CES is not the only place where a wave of tablets have washed up on shore.
There is a horde of “me too” variations on iPads and smartphones making it onto the market: many are Android based; most are from Taiwan and China; and most are competing on price based on a common set of basic features. Truly, the electronic streets of Taipei, Shanghai and HongKong have come to the World.
So now for the tablets and smartphones makers the differentiators will be interoperability to other PC, TV consoles and other home/business devices; software refinements beyond the basic OS ; and telecom carrier support. Maybe that is just the ticket that Dockable Tablets seen at CES 2011 have.
